BackHeart Manual Refresher Course
Keeping up to date with new clinical practice and maintaining competency can be a challenge particularly for those practitioners who have been unable to put their Heart Manual training into practice on a regular basis. In order to support practitioners to regain their confidence and refresh the knowledge and skills required to facilitate the various Manuals, the Heart Manual Service can now offer a single ‘refresher day’, tailored to address these needs.
The day includes
• a brief overview of the Heart Manual principles and process
• the core psychological and clinical issues affecting those with coronary heart disease
• secondary prevention strategies
• lifestyle approaches including aspects of health behavioural change
The training gives participants the perfect opportunity to reflect on their own experiences, while allowing time to discuss the new components of the Coronary Artery Disease (4th) edition.
